There are many types of carpet cleaning systems, some highly recommended while others are less recommended, but all great for specific types of work. While the dry carpet cleaning technology is great for carpet maintenance and medium duty cleaning, we do not think that the dry carpet cleaning systems can come close to the hot water extraction system when we are talking about heavy duty carpet cleaning jobs, stain removal and dirt extraction. A hot water extraction system works like this:
- Hot water and a traffic lane cleaner is mixed up in a special pressure pump. The whole area is pre-treated with it
- About 5-10 minutes later the whole area is scrubbed with a special bonnet and a low speed scrubber
- The tank of the carpet cleaning machine will be filled up with hot water, carpet cleaning shampoo and odor neutraliser
- Using a special wand with 2 or 3 spray nozzles, the carpet will be sprayed, scrubbed and the waste extracted in one go
- The wand will attach to the carpet and it will extract all water residue, dirt, food waste & all the dirt from the carpet
- The carpet will be left 90% dry. It should be ready for use within 2-3 hours depending on ventilation.
